Small Town Festivities

Written by Stems From the Heart

🍂🌸 Small Town Festivals! 🌸🍂

As we get closer to the Amery Fall Festival, you can feel the excitement building around town! Everyone has their favorite part of the weekend. Who will be crowned the next Miss Amery and Miss Congeniality? 👑

The kids are excited for the rides! 🎡
The moms are excited for the craft fair!
The dads are excited for the beer tents! 🍻😂
And I have to admit… Andrea is too! LOL!

The foodies, like me, are excited about the food trucks! 🌮🍕 And, of course, there are plenty of people who are counting down to the parade!

There is SO much that goes into putting a weekend like this together. I’m told the Fall Festival Committee meets throughout the entire year to plan everything. ALL YEAR, PEOPLE! That is a LOT of time, planning, and work!

They do such a wonderful job bringing our community together and giving everyone something to look forward to. It really is one of those weekends that reminds you what is so great about living in a small town.

We get to be a little part of it here at Stems from the Heart. 🌸 We make bouquets for the incoming royalty, along with corsages and boutonnieres for the Grand Marshals of the parade.

Fall Festival weekend also seems to be a popular time for class reunions. Over the years, we’ve had people ask us to create flowers in memory of loved ones they are remembering during their reunions and gatherings. Those orders are always especially meaningful to us. ❤️

The Amery Fall Festival has been around for 77 years, and this year we’re also celebrating America’s 250th birthday! US

So come out and enjoy the weekend! There will be bands, food trucks, activities, the parade, and plenty of fun happening all around town.

And PLEASE support our local businesses while you’re out and about. We have some pretty awesome ones around here!

Now, since I’m basically planning my Fall Festival weekend around food… 😂 I have to share a few of my favorites!

We have some AMAZING food trucks in our area. Brickfire Pizza's Patty Wagon, and 3 Chiefs Fry Bread (I hear they might be in town!) are a few of my favorites. If you see them, GO EAT! You can thank me later. 😂

If you’re looking for a pizza to take home, check out D’Addario’s Pizza. They have some fun pizza options, and they are definitely filling! You can even order online.

And if you need some morning coffee to get your day started, head over to Stone & Oak. My go-to is the Maple Z Orchard Latte. It is SO good! It’s also such a cozy little place to sit and enjoy your coffee.

And I hear they have some of Kate’s Bakes treats there now, too! So obviously, you should grab a cinnamon roll. Because coffee without a treat is just… coffee. 😂 Kate makes some pretty amazing things!

There are so many neat, quirky, and special things about living in a small town like Amery. We know our neighbors, we support our local businesses, we show up for our community—and apparently, we know where all the good food is too! 😉

So get out and enjoy the festivities! Eat some good food, listen to some music, watch the parade, ride the rides, shop the craft fair, cheer on the royalty, and maybe have a beverage or two in the beer tent. 🍻😂

Most of all, have fun and enjoy your Fall Festival weekend!

🍂🌸 Happy Fall Festival, Amery! 🌸🍂

And from all of us at Stems from the Heart, a HUGE thank-you to the Fall Festival Committee and everyone else who works so hard all year long to make this weekend happen. We’re happy to be a small part of it—and even happier to live in a community that still knows how to come together and have a good time! ❤️
